The Sure Mercy of God.
Bible Passage: Romans 9:15 "For He says to Moses, 'I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.'
WORD FOR TODAY
The mercy of the Lord is the only sure advantage anyone can truly depend on in life. Wealth can disappear, strength can fail, influence can fade and opportunities can be lost. But God's mercy remains constant. It is His mercy that preserves us when we deserve judgment, opens doors we could never open ourselves and carries us through seasons that should have overwhelmed us.
Many people strive to get ahead through intelligence, connections or hard work. While these have their place, none of them can guarantee lasting success. The psalmist declared, "It is better to trust in the Lord than to put confidence in man" (Psalm 118:8). When God's mercy speaks for you, obstacles become stepping stones and even your mistakes do not have the final word.
Every day is another opportunity to depend on God's mercy rather than your own abilities. Approach Him with humility, gratitude and obedience. The person who lives under the covering of God's mercy possesses an advantage that no human effort can provide and no earthly power can take away.
