When God Closes a Door

BIBLE PASSAGE: Isaiah 43:18–19 "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!... I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland."

God never closes one door without opening another. Yet, so often, our eyes remain fixed on the door that has closed. We struggle to accept that it is over, hoping it will somehow open again, while the new door God has already provided waits before us.

We must be willing to rise, turn our eyes to the Way (Jesus), and walk through the door He has opened. As long as we keep staring at what is behind us, we may miss what God is doing right in front of us.

The Bible assures us that all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose. So ask yourself: Are you walking in His will? Do you know Him as your Lord? Can you truly say you belong to Him?

If your answer is yes, then take heart. That closed door is not the end of your story. God has already opened another one.

Dry your tears, lift your eyes, and look in His direction. He knows the way forward, and He is already there.

PRAYER: Lord Jesus, please help me see the doors that You have opened for me, Amen.
