When God's Promise Seems Delayed
When the Lord told Abraham about His great plans for his life, a mortal mind might have expected everything to happen quickly. Yet, Abraham waited for years before the promise concerning his son was fulfilled. Despite the long wait, Scripture shows us that Abraham continued to trust God.
Romans 4:20 says, “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God.”
Abraham's story reminds us that God's promises may take time, but His delay is not a denial. The passage of time does not make God's Word less certain.
You may have received promises, visions, revelations, or dreams concerning the great plans God has for your life, yet you may still be wondering why nothing seems to be happening. You may even be tempted to question whether you truly heard from God.
Do not give up.
God is not a man that He should lie. If He has spoken, He is faithful to fulfil His Word. His timing may not look like yours, but His faithfulness never changes.
Keep walking in His will. Keep obeying His Word. Keep trusting Him, even when you cannot see the evidence yet.
What God has promised does not become impossible simply because it has taken longer than you expected.
Prayer: Lord, help me to trust You when Your promises seem delayed. Give me the grace to remain faithful, obedient, and steadfast while I wait. Keep my heart from unbelief and help me remember that Your Word never fails. In Jesus' name, Amen.
Remember: God's promises are worth waiting
for. Keep trusting Him.
