LET COMPASSION BE YOUR NATURE
BIBLE PASSAGE: Luke 10:27 He answered, “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind’; and, ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’”
WORD FOR TODAY
The Good Samaritan in the parable of Jesus was on a journey, just like the others who passed by, when he met the wounded man.
Yet, his journey did not become an excuse to ignore someone in need. Compassion was part of his nature; kindness flowed naturally from his heart. Even the demands of his journey could not stop him from doing good.
If Jesus could leave all His glory, come into this world, and die for you and me, then we too should strive to show kindness to others.
The world becomes a little brighter when one heart chooses kindness over indifference. True change begins when we care beyond convenience.
“Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” Ephesians 4:32 (NIV)
